Diary of Being A Human Living With Lots Of Other Humans and Animals
I wasn’t a writer this week.
Friday
My regular morning routine before I shower and get ready for work consists of feeding the cats and cleaning their kitty litter, feeding the goldfish, checking on the chicken’s food and water and gathering eggs. I won’t bother repeating this, just know that it happens, every morning.
Each fortnight after work on a Friday we pick Ben’s kids up (they are eight and eleven), and we go into town and to the markets. We get mushrooms from the Mushroom Man, and we ignore the pleas for lollies from the lolly stall, and we go and have Chinese for dinner. This week we decided to try a different restaurant, this was a mistake. We wandered for ages trying to agree to one. Then finally when we chose one, we stuffed up the order. Too much food and not all of it what we really wanted. If both of the kids don’t like what they order there is only so much Ben and I can eat.
We explained that the fish and lobsters in the tanks at the back were not pets and were in fact for dinner. It didn’t put them off eating anything.
Saturday
I got up early and uploaded my writer’s diary. I am up to Week 75 Of Being A Writer
Sometimes I do morning pages or upload some of my memoir as well. Not today.
We went…
