Diary of Being a Writer; Month 56.

Ragdoll cat complete with cross eyes looking surprised, sitting in an inbox that says Team Leader
Not my real Team Leader.

Until yesterday, I was dreading writing this blog. Sure, I have previously had times where I have had to admit to not having written for various reasons, all valid. Most recently, it was because I was editing and moving house.

Then those two things were done.

Boxes all unpacked.

Bloody Dawn sent back to my agent in a timely manner.

So now I am free to write whatever I want.

Anything at all.

Anything…

Oh well.

Maybe I could write the Thriller?

Maybe I could write the Cosy?

Maybe I could write more Dawn?

Apparently not.

Instead, I cleaned and painted and organised and groomed my Cocker Spaniel and paired my socks.

I could not think of anything that I wanted to write. The old ideas weren’t grabbing me. I felt lost and uninspired.

I asked my Writers Group; they had some great ideas.

I asked my Team Leader, at work; again great ideas.
