Diary of Being a Writer; Week 102
Staying focused can be hard.
So last week went really well.
I wrote every day.
I wrote my WIP and worked on some articles, and I got a total of at least 8000 words written.
This week I have decided I shouldn’t include words for articles in the WIP count.
I also need to do some of the other things I had on my daily checklist.
Funnily enough, having coffee got ticked off every day.
Exercise did not.
Okay, so thanks to my new rule although I wrote over 1600 words yesterday none of them were for my WIP meaning that if I am going to keep up my WIP quota, I need to write 2000 each day. Does that make it too hard? Remember we are trying to reinforce good habits, and we need to have wins, so I think 1600 will still be a win. 2000 is a bonus.
I still need to work on the other things on my list like getting some of the course work done and doing the exercise. Completly on track with coffee consumption.
I am feeling a little dread before I open the WIP. Do I have enough words in me? Will I be able to tell the story well?
Just get on with it already!
