Diary of Being a Writer; Week 118
I might be finished the first draft of this WIP by week 121
We just had a long weekend here, so once more I return to my desk after a short break with absolutely no idea what to write. Absolutely no idea how to write. And absolutely no idea why I write.
Maybe one day, I will have enough muscle memory that I will be able to arrive at my desk and immediately start, write 5000 words and then do all the pissing about.
But today is not that day.
Today it requires a little bit of taking a deep breath and opening up the WIP in Scrivener and just hoping that somehow I will have what it takes to write something that I can later turn into something better.
It would help if I actually, you know, opened the WIP instead of looked at my socials. Or stopped searching for a heating pad for the elderly cat that meowed all last night either because she was too cold or when she was warm enough, was too close to the other cats.
Opened WIP started writing. Got distracted.
Back to it, you distractable piece of flotsam.
