Diary of Being A Writer; Week 122

TL: DR I took the week off.

I knew that writing was not going to get star billing this week what with school holidays and yet more doctors appointments etc. but I did think I would do some. That has yet to happen, but there is still time.
Meanwhile, I have watched the Scream Trilogy with the kids only to find out there is a fourth. So similar to Douglas Adams Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
At least today I have actually sat down at the computer. Not sure how long I will stay here. Theoretically, I could just let them play computer games all day, but that feels like lousy step-parenting. It is pretty cold and wet outside, though.

And so the week passed by in a blur of crafts, gardening, cooking and cleaning until I got fed up with it and went on strike. Sure I had a headache, but I had also had enough of constantly picking things up of the floor. I did not get any writing done. I did not get any exercises done. I did not even get any reading done. But I made a nice pot, and the garden looks good.

Although we are in South Australia, I keep browsing masks online. I feel like it would be nice to have a pretty one should we get another outbreak here.

I did continue to ponder my first draft, but without sitting down at my desk, nothing exciting…
