Diary of Being a Writer; Week 183
Professional Help Is Worth It.

I mean, really, what did I think I hoped to achieve trying to do it on my own when there are other people out there who are just so much better at this stuff?
Yes, okay, I am a writer, and yes, I should be able to write a letter and a synopsis about my own work, but quite obviously, I can’t.
Sure, I did the tippy tappy thing on the keyboard with the words and they were in the right order and everything but they just didn’t say what needed to be said as clearly and concisely as my editor was able to do. Getting a friend to help is not only necessary to retain your sanity. But also to actually come up with a decent one that sells your abilities rather than just list them.
So waiting for the help has meant putting a pause on contacting agents. But…
