Still slogging away at editing.

Okay, so week two of my more structured weekly routine and they went and had a public holiday yesterday. I decided to spend the whole day reading Magda Szubanski. Instead, B and I mostly did digging and rearranging in the garden. I am enjoying Magda’s writing style and the topics she raises as she writes about the past but I haven’t had a chance to dive in uninterrupted yet.
So morning pages are done. Not for as long as they should have been perhaps but routine maintained.
Magnetic words exercise now. What I have found interesting is the Victorian theme that has come through a couple of times. I have been watching historical documentaries, and they have leaked into the writing. I am contemplating doing some more research into the late 19th century. Perhaps into London or Oxford but maybe I should look at Australian aspects of those times too? Perhaps one to the other?
Then hopefully some editing. I don’t look forward to it as it dredges up the past, again, and I don’t like everything about my past. Hence the memoir.
It would be much easier and more fun if I could just get Lady BH to come over and have a glass of wine or two, tell her the story and then have her fill in all the blanks while someone else transcribed everything we said. And then have that edited together for me.
