Wednesday 6th
Well hello there. It’s a writing day. Woo hoo and hooray.
Let’s make the most of it shall we?

Alright, I have now rescued the kitten that somehow got itself stuck in the chicken coop, washed the chook poo off it and with only one new scratch I am ready to write.
No trawling through the news or the emails or social media. Just writing the words ‘social media’, makes my fingers twitch towards the phone, just to have a quick look. What if something is happening? I will resist the urge and write my morning pages instead.

The other story keeps creeping into my conscious, the story with Victorian-era elements in it. It is swishing around in my head and mixing itself with other story ideas I have had over the years.
Is it a legitimate premise or just procrastination presented in period petticoats?
Well maybe if I am a good writer today and do a decent amount of editing of my memoir I will allow myself to start playing with this story.

Oh goddamit, I nearly checked a notification on my phone. Turn it off, or at least put it on ‘Do not disturb’.
