I work here…

Monday 6th
A new week. A new start. The memoir is out there being read. There is nothing I can do. Except look at my print out of it and think that was unnecessary.
The plan is to do some writing exercises and then start plotting my witch novel. I am not sure what it looks like at all; I just know I have wanted to write this thing since forever. I want to be the female Terry Pratchett, Doulas Adams. Okay, I get I won’t be as funny as them, but that is what I am aiming for.
I have had lots of thoughts over the years about how this story looks but today is a new start so I think I should start from scratch.
A funny witch? Australian? In her 20's? Her special skill is silencing misogynists? How does she find out she is a witch? What sort of powers does she really have?

Saturday 11th
Work was the main focus of the week, not writing. I did create a new Scrivener project titled Witch, and I put in all the chapters and targets and some bit and bobs of ideas.
I am tempted to go back and steal swathes of the 50,000 words I wrote for NaNoWriMo, but that would lock me into certain storylines and characters and I want to start fresh I want this to be free to be set wherever it needs to be and to go where it wants. None of which has come to me yet or rather I can’t decide which of the ideas I have are right. It feels right to me to set a witch story in England, but I feel it is important to set or at least start it in Australia.

…and here. I am very lucky.
