Diary Of Being A Writer; Week 64

Is anyone else scared of Purple Prose?

Monday 20th
I am beginning to wonder how much longer I should keep writing this diary.
It is the same thing over and over;
Attempt to write, get interrupted by life.
Have time to write, managed to procrastinate like a champion.
Write some stuff, then doubt abilities as a writer.
Repeat.

I know that’s a little simplified. There are the incremental improvements, the learning and growing as a writer, but it isn’t a fast paced, action packed diary is it?

Writing the above reminded me that this is a long journey, and this diary has been an excellent way for me to stay focused and to catch myself out when I am procrastinating and self-doubting. Once again reinforcing the purpose of this diary.

Guess I will go and write now. Off to the Witch WIP on Scrivener. Now with added stolen I mean recycled bits from my Fairy WIP.

Tuesday 21st
An article I wrote about penis size went up on the blog I wrote it for today. Not as many upset men as I thought. I was trying to be entertaining and informative. I think I succeeded.
The negative comments seem to be people that missed the major…
