Diary of Being A Writer; Week 67

Writing isn’t always fun.

Monday 10th June
This morning I started my memoir again.
I feel pretty good about it, and after writing 800 words, I had a look at my previous draft to see if there were bits that were descriptive enough to be part of the new story. I found 10,000 words that will fit with the new narrative. Which is nice. They will need more editing, but it means I am not starting totally from scratch. Which is a little heartening.
Morning pages and the Monday Mission for Dream Author were done.
I was going to pitch some articles, but it is a lovely day outside, and a public holiday so I am going to go garden with my partner.

Tuesday 11th
A successful morning so far.
Did my scheduled Dream Author stuff.
Pitched to WHIM.
And wrote 600 words of my memoir. It was about giving up my dog, so it made me cry.
WHIM said yes, but I will need to get some official comments from some official people, which is new territory for me.

Wednesday 12th
Ugh okay, need to write the piece for WHIM and do my Dream Author homework and write some of my memoir.
I haven’t even done my morning pages yet as it…
