Diary Of Being A Writer; Week 73

I am still not perfect

Monday 29th July

I awoke with a song in my heart and a spring in my step. Well, at least a story in my head and a tippy tappy feeling in my fingers. But life just isn’t like that, I did not just sit down at my computer and get a quick 2000 words down, because of the things of life. Which is okay, I just made sure I did a writing exercise for Dream Author and my morning pages before the life stuff. When I get back from the life stuff, I will hopefully still get some writing done, do all my self-care stuff, and if I am fortunate I will get to read some more before I get too tired to function.

Bloody brilliant, the article has come together in long-form, now to just let it sit for a bit and then edit it down by about half.

Friday 30th

I have been continuing to instil new healthy self-care habits into my life, but some days, it is difficult to find the time or space. I most certainly will not be doing my cough therapy exercises in public. But today I am alone until 3 pm, so I will be making sure I do my morning pages, my exercise, my meditation and the cough therapy and then somewhere in between all that I will get some writing done. I did sneak some writing into my day yesterday, so that’s a win.
