Monday 2nd September
Well after almost giving up on continuing this diary last week, I return today with renewed enthusiasm. Yes, there have been lots of nonwriting days in this diary over the 78 weeks, but there have also been lots of other things like moving house, marriages, family holidays, creating a garden and a home; full of kids, cats, chicken, fish and now a dog. All in all, I have done pretty well, adjusting to lots of new things in my life and still managing to write and learn about writing.
This morning I wrote a couple of pieces and was feeling good about what I had achieved. I was intending to write some more after lunch, but I was thrown by some personal stuff that came out of the blue and it kind of floored me. In the spirit of continuing to look after me first and not worry about what that looks like on the word count front to you, I am taking the afternoon off to process it.
I needn’t have worried, I have somehow written 2482 words this morning. Pretty decent.

Thursday 5th
I have just sent off my bio and some clips of my old Youtube stuff to the producers, directors and writers I will get to meet with on Saturday. They have already seen my writing and invited me to join them for this “Creative Discussion Day” where they want to…
