I am signing up to NaNoWriMo again.

I am going to finalise my plan for the rest of this month and then on the 1st of November, I am going to make those 50,000 words happen.

So we will be aiming for 1,667 words a day.

Last year I did it the rebel way and wrote 43,000 words that month.

This year I am going to try and go the traditional route and write nothing but the new novel.

Today I pulled out the plan I started a while ago, and in between doing the scheduling exercise from Dream Author I am also continuing to work on ‘the plan’. The scheduling exercise has shown that I am very easily distracted by housework today.

I have still managed to get almost 2000 words done despite myself running off every half hour or so.

I did mistakenly think that once I knuckled down to this, I would manage to come up with a whole entire story. So far, it hasn’t magically appeared in my brain. I seem to be having actually to work at this!

And then someone posted this article in one of the online writer’s groups I belong to…
