Diary Of Being A Writer; Week 90

Does Genre matter?

Monday

You may remember that last week I started to get a bit of a flow going. I wanted to get a routine happening again, a routine where I actually wrote not ran off to do anything and everything else.

And for two days, I did. And although the weekend then interrupted I kept the flow going by just writing a few sneaky words each morning and doing a little spell checking so I don’t feel like I am starting from scratch this morning.

So apart from the thought of ‘why on earth are you trying to write a fantasy crime novel?’ I am ready to rock and roll this morning.

I just need some coffee and we are good to go.

My writing is going well this morning apart from killing off a character that I hadn’t realised was going to die. Oops.

Wednesday

Slow start today but it is still early so I am not willing to give up on my 2000. Just need to concentrate for a bit rather than running around the house doing important things that can’t possibly wait.

I hit my goal of 2000 but I didn’t exceed it. I struggled up to the line and threw myself over it. I do hope that I get better at this again soon.
