Diary of Being a Writer; Week 95
Continuing to learn and progress.
It is the week between Christmas and New Years, the one where the days all blend and blur a bit and I have no real idea of what day it is. All I know is that I want to make some progress with my WIP.
I also want to catch up on the seminars and the writing exercises from the Dream author Course. I am now two months behind, and I am starting to get to the oh dear, it is too big I will never get it done stage. The point where the amount you have to catch up on makes you too scared to start.
The point where you need to stop looking at the whole and just take it bit by bit, or it will never get started let alone done.
I guess that is why writing my memoir the first time was easier, it was just lots of little bits of writing strung together. And why the task of editing and rewriting it as a story rather than a string of anecdotes seems daunting.
It is going to be 38 degrees today. I am guessing no one will want to do anything exciting. I certainly can’t do any gardening, so hopefully, that will translate into words on a page this morning at least. Tomorrow is 40 degrees. If I get some sleep then maybe, otherwise I will settle for reading in a darkish room.
