I am stuck on a fight scene.

It has stalled me.

I was tempted to make a fight pun, but you deserve better than that.

I am going to either dive in or skip right past it today,

I started to do some research the other day on ‘How to write a fight scene’ and all I remember now is ‘short sentences’ and ‘engage all the senses’.

It can’t be that hard, can it?

Some timely support from my writer buddies and I got it done.

It is not a particularly good fight scene, but my character is not a particularly good fighter, so it worked. Maybe if she and I continue on this path together, she will get better at fighting, and I will get better at writing fight scenes for her.

It was a good day in terms of word count, but I have also discovered that in my ongoing avoidance of flowery description I put barely any description in at all. I am also missing a subplot. I am perilously close to the end of the main plot and have only written 20,000 words. I need to address these issues. I don’t really know if my character is up for romance. She is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend and dealing with becoming a vampire, I feel dating is…
