Hallmark Christmas Movie Reviews Part One

If I am going to watch them I might as well pretend I am doing something useful with my time.

Not all Hallmark Christmas Movies are the same. I know, I know, they are all formulaic, there are no surprises, they are always cis and heteronormative but in the last ten days and as many movies I have come to appreciate that there is a difference between the good and the bad Hallmark Christmas Movies. Most are happily sitting in the middle ticking the boxes that they should but some are just worse and some are just better.

Spoilers ahead.

Christmas at Pemberley Manor

Christmas at Pemberley Manor is where it all really started for me this year. With a Jane Austen reference in the title, what could possibly go wrong?

It ticked a lot of the boxes, the Hallmark Christmas Movie marks although when I watched it I did not have as much idea of what was standard and what was unique. I am getting more and more idea as my viewing continues and have since created my own Hallmark Christmas Bingo; https://www.redbubble.com/people/sachsse/works/35539245-hallmark-christmas-movie-bingo

There was lots of snow. Some real, some fake, mostly fake. Box ticked.
