Oh, All The Things I Can Do.

Rather than write.

All I want to do is write, to be a writer. I love writing and I am happiest when I write. Today I have given myself a word count and a target and I have nothing to do today but write.

I just found myself cleaning the thing that stops my cats from typing on my keyboard. It hasn’t been cleaned for the last month while I worked at my job but this morning I can’t possibly start a writing sprint without making sure there isn’t a mark on it.

Now I need a fresh coffee as that last one disappeared. Oh and some snacks in case I get hungry during the 30-minute sprint. Because I would hate to faint from hunger that would interrupt my precious writing time.

Oh dear, there are no biscuits. I better make some.

I also need to check the weather. I mean, after all, this writing business requires me to sit inside at my desk. Of course, I need to check the weather not just to see what the temperature is right now but for the rest of the week. Vitally important. That cannot wait until after I have done some writing.

And then there is the ever-ubiquitous social media, obviously, I don’t want to be on there wasting time but if you want to know what is going on in the world of writing you need to be checking social media. And you need to be creating content…
